Comment:
This classic formula has been used for more than 180 years to treat common cold, influenza, acute tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and other infections of the upper respiratory tract manifested as fever, headache, sore throat, thirst and cough. CO-197 is one of the most popular herbal formulas in the world. The experimental studies showed that this formula has a rather strong antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and anti-anaphylactic action. It can also reduce fever, resist bacteria and viruses. The primary ingredient, Lonicerae Flos, has a strong inhibitory effect against many pathogenic bacteria including Salmonella typhi, pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus pneumoniae. It can also deactivate the PR8 strain of the influenza virus.

Indications:
Common cold, influenza, tonsillitis, pharyngitis and infection of upper respiratory tract marked by fever, sore throat, thirst, cough and headache.

Dosage:
4-6 tablets three times per day, before meals.
